What is time management?
Time management is the ability to plan one’s time effectively or productively, how much time to spend on specific tasks and activities.
The main benefit of proper time management is a shorter amount of time spent on a task with a higher result achieved.
This, in turn, will lead you along a path of satisfaction, higher income, more significant personal growth and an abundance of free time to spend how you wish.
How often do you find yourself rushing around stressed out, late, feeling tired or thinking that there just aren’t enough hours in the day?
Or have you ever missed an appointment or let someone down because you were so overwhelmed by the pile of tasks on your to-do list.

We spend our life collecting trinkets and useless tat; we find it hard to let it go, we develop emotional attachments to this clutter and believe it or not studies show that it harms our focus. Try having a clear-out, or better still stop buying the stuff you don’t need.
2.Use a System
Time management systems such as the Kaban, The Quadrant system (do, schedule, delegate or don’t do), The Iceberg method (store/ bookmark stuff for a later project)or the many more systems that will work well for different types of entrepreneur. The important thing is to find the one that works best for you.
3.The 80-20 rule.
This rule states that 80% of your results come from 20 per cent of your effort. The trick? Identify the 20 per cent of the efforts that are producing 80 per cent of the results and scale that out. You can do this by tracking your metrics.
4.Most Important Tasks First
You probably like to do the easy stuff first, but this only prolongs the inevitable. The truth of the matter is we have the most energy first thing in the morning, and to not use it would be a mistake. If you can harness the morning’s vibrancy, you will be able to tackle the significant issues first which will set you up for a productive day.
5.Take breaks when working
It’s estimated that you should take a break every 45-60 mins and that the break should be 10-15 mins, this way you will find that you will suffer less with procrastination. You see, procrastination is your brain’s way of taking breaks for you. You might no realise it but its estimate that around 220 mins are lost every day due to procrastination.
5.Email is the killer
Every time you get a notification it takes an estimated 23mins to get back on track, this time can be saved by setting a time to deal with emails and social media all at once, so go ahead and turn off your notifications right now!
6.Remove time wasters
What can you live without, can you live without watching tv, the news, playing video games, friends that you’ve grown out of or Facebook, they all waste time that could be better well spent.
If you get stuck as we all do, especially as entrepreneurs, it can waste so much time struggling through using just trial and error with a task that we know nothing. I would recommend having a group of friends with different sets of skills that you can call on when you need advice. If you help them with your skillset when they are in need, you won’t feel bad about asking.
Meditation gives you more focus on the tasks you set your self. It helps train your brain to ignore those pesky distractions as well as get back on track a lot faster.
Time management efficiency comes down to more than just trying some of these tactics, an essential key to making any of these tricks work is consistency, it might seem like hard work at the beginning but if you preserver, these strategies will soon become new ingrained habits, only then will you reap the rewards.
